This is the digital download version of the game including all expansions and add-ons. Thus it\’s been labeled as a \”Full Rip\” since iso would imply disc images. If you would like to play this on an official server I would suggest buying your own copy of the game together with a registration code, unless you happen to get hold of one elsewhere.

Want to play the game on private servers, without a registration code or paying any money? How about start your own server? All files needed and instructions are included in this torrent. Before going this route, you need to know a few things about private servers.

- They are works in progress. Everything doesn\’t fully work yet as there is a huge amount of coding to be done to replicate the official servers and the overall game experience. Some projects are open source and you can help out if you like  . There are frequent updates as well.

- Servers tend to have anywhere from a few up to 20 or so people on at a time at most. Don\’t expect a player base anything close to the official servers.

- Each server will have its own rules and settings. Some offer tons of money and cheap items up for sale, 10X XP gains, and super fast movement. Others prefer everything exactly as the game was made.

- Most servers tend to only have the original release + Zilart expansion areas open, with a 75 level cap.

- Starting your own server is much, much more complicated than simply joining one. Be prepared is all I can say… I\’ve done it successfully but it was lots of trial and error even with guides helping me along.

- Apple\’s X11 must be installed
- about 13 gigs of Hard Drive Space required.

Run “FINALFANTASYXIUCAE.exe”.  This will uncompress the digital download files and begin installing Playonline Viewer, Final Fantasy XI, and each expansion.  It will ask you to select “next” a few times for each installation.  The order installed is automated, after it installs one the next will start soonafter.  Keep doing so until it installs everything (Wings of the Goddess expansion will be last to install).
